Production
From BOM to MRP
The production management has been studied with the aim of satisfying the particular needs presented by the cosmetic producers, providing them with the possibility to manage semi-finished products (BULK) and finished products divided by work phases (methods), as well as the possibility to indicate variants that do not modify the original composition of the bill of materials and to specify which internal or external resource is to be assigned the work, thus simplifying the operations of launching the job.
In short, the program allows extreme flexibility to define a production plan, manage the load of resources, control needs, follow the movement of materials, optimize the work account, collect work time, calculate costs, generate statistics and much more.
Production orders are structured to allow for greater adaptability and flexibility of use in daily work. It starts with automatic batch acquisition according to system parameters. There is also the possibility of printing out picking lists for operators, and the ability to examine production capacity at the moment in relation to stocks and commitments.
And again, the unloading of components and the loading of the semi-finished or finished product at different and deferred times, the management of waste, the summary of movements, the recording of times and costs in view of the final balance of production activity. Finally, we must not forget the quality control (and its comparison with the histories of previous analyses) and, if the values found are outside the range, the consequent inclusion of corrective ingredients.
Advanced bill of materials with tracking of all information
The bill of materials is structured to manage infinite levels and focuses on what are the fundamental elements for a cosmetic company, that is the formula with its raw materials and the finished product with its Packaging.
Each element of the bill of materials is characterized by a source code that, during the needs analysis phase, allows the system to automatically generate the necessary documents: internal production orders, supplier orders (Purchase or work account), or customer work account orders.
As for the laboratory formula, here too it is possible to record all the versions of a bill of materials through the system of historicisation, which allows you to take back old versions or to bring different versions of the same product into production.
With just one click of the mouse you can access a whole series of 'historical' information about DIBA, such as the history of costs, production carried out and in progress, quality controls.
MRP - Requirements, calculation and simulation
Technics allows you to perform needs analysis from a variety of data sources, such as customer orders, production plans or sales budgets. Furthermore, it is possible to carry out simulations from hand-written Excel sheets.
The operator has a number of tools and prints at his disposal for detailed analysis of the products concerned, for example, indicating the depleted items and their alternatives or all the uses of that individual component.
The results can generate the documents needed to meet the needs, or can be saved for later reanalysis / authorization, or even be exported to Excel.
Calculate manufacturability
At any point in the program it is possible to request the production of a specific production order, as well as an article, resulting in a list of missing products and a global vision of the commitments and arrivals of the components.
Quality control and analysis reports
TECHNICS generates quality controls for production orders, with the additional possibility of making any comparisons with previous controls.
Different printouts can be configured for internal analysis reports and certificates to be sent to customers.
Traceability and lot numbers
TECHNICS guarantees complete traceability and traceability of the treated products: for this reason it is a program with high quality standards.
The operations that we can perform range from the possibility of checking all the components that are part of a given production (with the indication of the relative batches), to the verification for each single component (raw material, formula or packaging) of its use within the production itself.
Graphical production planning
With the graphic production planning, you get a comprehensive visibility of products and resources, with the possibility to intervene quickly, moving processes, intervening on quantities or dividing production orders on multiple days/resources.
Production statistics
A wide range of filters are available for queries, reports and statistical analysis, both for semi-finished and finished products and components.
It is possible to obtain information on production yields, on those costs that, when compared with sales prices, determine margins, on the number of processes per day and more.
For each production/job, it is possible to obtain the cost detail divided by components, waste, machines, operators and extra costs, so that the cost composition of a product is evident.
In combination with the production time module, it is possible to obtain useful information such as PPO (Time Pieces), which allows us to always have under control the performance of the packaging department and, at the same time, to formulate competitive prices in offers to customers.
